Animation and Combat Presentation

Player animation now covers one-handed and two-handed attacks, casts, channels, hit reactions, and death across the ten current player models. Nine monsters have also completed their movement and combat animation pass.

All art assets are placeholders for prototyping, including the models, animations, weapons, environments, and effects.

Player combat

Players have separate relaxed and combat idle animations. Attacking, casting, channeling, or taking damage keeps the player in a combat stance for five seconds after the last activity.

Casts have a preparation animation and a separate release. Channels can have their own sustained motion and finishing animation. Interrupting a channel skips the finish.

One-handed and two-handed weapons use separate attack animations. Hit reactions do not interrupt an active swing or channel.

These development previews show Arc Spark’s cast and impact, followed by Whirlwind’s channelled attack.

Monsters in motion

The clips below show five monsters in isolated development animation previews.

Blackwater Toadling attacks, reacts to a hit, and dies.
Claypacked Pit Digger beckons.
Chalkmask Pebblekin collapses to the ground.
Ashvein Stalker walks.
Slagbound Titan stomps, reacts to a hit, and dies.

Hits and death

The current monster set has unarmed attacks, hit reactions, and death animations. After the death animation, the body stays briefly before fading out.
